A robotic system called The Dento-Munch is in development by UK scientists. Creating and testing new dental materials can be expensive to test and long-term results can be hard to predict. Researchers are attempting to recreate the chewing and biting motions of the jaw so that materials can be tested more efficiently and with less waste.
