The annual conference was held this year in Tampa and featured more exhibitors, more classes and many more attendees. The offerings ranged from how to handle cancellations to marketing to how to set up study clubs. I had fun presenting my seminar What’s New In Dentistry. So often team members are busy with daily duties and have little opportunity to catch up with the industry. We talked about oral cancer, sedation dentistry, sleep medicine and the economy. And implants, of course! What I found most helpful were the roundtable discussions. I always love hearing how other offices handle the managerial fires that pop up.
Congratulations to Melanie Duncan, the 2008 Office Manager of the Year! Also to all of the nominees and attendees – you are truly the best that dentistry has to offer. I’ll see all of you and hopefully more at next year’s conference.
**On a side note, I can’t say enough good things about the Renaissance International Plaza in Tampa. Heather Colicchio – AADOM’s President – made a wonderful choice with this venue. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the food was much better than your average convention fare.

It’s a pity I haven’t been there…….
Could you write AADOM costs?
